2017 HSV GTS-R W1
This 2017 HSV GTSR W1 is build number 099 of 300 produced and is finished in Heron White exterior paint with Jet Black leather interior. Powered by a LS9 6.2-litre supercharged V8 producing 474kW (636hp) and 815Nm (602ft.lb) of torque, making it the fastest and most powerful car ever built in Australia. This is paired to a close ratio six-speed manual transmission and the odometer is currently showing 3,270 kilometres.
The HSV GTS-R W1 is not only the most expensive, powerful and quickest car ever produced in Australia, it’s also one of the last models produced by the Melbourne-based manufacturer. HSV shut its doors in October 2017 marking the end of an era and the HSV GTS-R W1 is the final swan song. Building on top of the standard GTS-R, the GTS-R W1 is no sticker pack special. HSV fitted the LS9 supercharged V8 from the Corvette ZR1, added a carbon fibre airbox, fender vents, rear spoiler, fixed-rate SupaShock suspension and 6-piston AP Racing brakes. Much of the parts list was directly influenced by HSV’s Supercars Championship experience, and all went in to create what HSV called its “road-legal race car.”
Undoubtably one of the most collectable cars in Australian automotive history, this example has been optioned with the Phantom Black Roof and the car cover with customised build number. Originally delivered new to its first and only owner in February 2018, with production in July 2017 and an October 2017 compliance plate. It has been part of a large private collection and has never been on a racetrack.
The exterior is finished in Heron White paintwork with the contrasting Phantom Black Roof matching the other black contrasting exterior components such as the carbon fibre fender vents and the carbon fibre rear spoiler. All of which is in excellent condition with only a few minor stone chips on the front end and some minor scrapes under the front spoiler.
Also finished in matte black are bespoke forged 20” inch matte black alloy wheels with W1 logo imprinted on them. All four alloy wheels are unmarked and free of any damage. These are wrapped in 265/35 R20 (front) & 295/30 R20 (rear) Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres.
The interior is finished in Jet Black leather and Alcantara with contrasting red stitch. The HSV Podium seats have the W1 logo on the headrests and are predominately finished in Alcantara, along with the steering wheel and gear lever. All in excellent condition and not showing any signs of wear. The navigation screen shows the 099/300 build number on start-up and the dashboard is not showing any fault lights.
The last service was carried out by Ralph D’Silva HSV in December 2020 in which they changed the brake fluid, engine oil and filters. The brake and tyre tread measurements were recorded at 6mm front and 7mm rear and 2mm all around respectively. The vehicle has been driven on only a handful of occasions since then. No other items or concerns were raised. The vehicle was bought new from Bay City Holden who carried out the pre delivery inspection and was not driven for the first 18 months. The owner then decided to use the vehicle in 2019 and with the global pandemic was unable to in 2020.
The vehicle still retains the car cover with customised build number which is in excellent condition along with the service books, tool kit, tyre sealant and air compressor kit. The original two keys are in excellent condition and still retain the key ring with the build number embossed.
